Mako SmartRobotics™ joint replacement procedures

Muskegon Surgery Center is the first surgery center in Michigan to offer three different procedures — total hip, partial knee and total knee — using the Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery System. Seven of our surgeons are trained and certified to perform surgery using Stryker’s Mako System.

Expanding to meet our patients needs

We have completed a major expansion of the facility, our second large expansion in five years. This new 13,498 square foot addition represents a $9.3 million investment and includes two larger operating rooms equipped with state-of-the-art Stryker OR technology as well as more space for sterile processing.

Schedule:

Work Setting / Location:

  • In-person
  • Operating room

Education / License and Certification Requirements:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited training program
  • CST required

Experience:

  • Surgical technologist

Responsibilities:

  • Perform appropriate hand scrub 
  • Don sterile dress appropriately
  • Set-up and maintenance of the sterile field for all assigned cases.  
  • Instrument set-up, arranging instrumentation, equipment, and supplies 
  • Prepare for next day cases
  • Displays strong surgical conscience
